With the enhanced backlog enabled, the URL for a sprint, which contained its ID, doesn't appear any longer in the bottom left corner. If you disable it, you can get the URL again, but at some point users will probably no longer be able to toggle between views.
Atlassian says this was never meant to be a feature/function and has no intentions of putting this back for the enhanced backlog mode.
Support gave me a couple of complex solutions that wouldn't seem easy unless one was a developer.
Does anyone have a suggestion how to easily get this value other than toggling?
Thanks.
Hi @michaelreiff , can you try the following method and see if it works for you?
Go to the advanced issue, search page and enter sprint = yoursprintname. By entering the sprint name, and then clicking the search, it should be replaced with the sprint ID. Please let me know if this method works for you.
Yeah, I figured out that method. I guess I just am thinking there's should be an easy way provided to get the value from the screen on which sprints are created, viewed and edited and not make users do a lot of extra work to get to it.

What problem are you trying to solve by having the Sprint ID value? Knowing that may help the community to suggest alternatives. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Bill

Well, occasionally I've needed the SprintID value to help write a custom JQL query or to do a bulk change of tickets. For both, you need the SprintID value and not the sprint name.

I have the same challenge regularly and also wish it was easier to locate the sprint id number for bulk updates.
