How can I remove a custom field I created earlier?

How can I remove a custom field I created earlier in my team-managed project?

It didn't happen before. I could add and hide any fields for any of the issue types, but anyhow it is impossible for the field I created as a "dependent dropdown" type.

I set the values for this field within some tickets.

But it turned to be not that convenient as I thought so I'm trying to get rid of it

That is odd. I am able to remove fields, even those with values. Can you share what you are seeing?

and I get this reaction as I click save changes:

Do you have any workflow rules tied to the custom field?

Me personally - I haven't set any, but is there a way to check if there are any?

But I think there should be none

Nevermind. I checked this out and it doesn't appear to have an impact on it at all.

Can you inspect your browser while removing it and trying to save and seeing what the console/network tab says?

The only time I can get this error is when I delete a field in one tab and then try to add it to another issue type in a different tab without refreshing. When I do that I can get the error, but no other time.
