Hi Team,
I am looking for a way to filter comments.
Here's the scenario I am trying to solve, we have a large volume on comments on a single jira ticket contributed by multiple team members. The comments could be related to updates, questions, requirements etc. Now, I need to filter the comments which are only related to requirements. Right now, I have to go through all the comments manually to figure out the specific comments related to the requirements which is a tedious process. Is there a way where I can add tags or some keywords in a single comment then, later on just use that tag/keyword to highlight those comments or basically filter comments according to my requirement?
Best Regards,
Hi @keshu_maharjan , welcome to the Community.
unfortunately, there is not a means of tagging or labeling comments. At least out of the box that is the case. If you can formalize a process within your team to use some specific wording within a comment involving requirements, then you could consider using JQL to search the comments. I am unfamiliar with any add-on application that could be used to accomplish this, but you might search the marketplace just in case. With that said, the process that I have employed in the past is to tie requirements in to Confluence. In this way, the requirements are located in one place and there is a link between specific Jira issues and the confluence requirements page.
Thanks @Jack Brickey
