How can I change the display order of Jira Plans in a Jira Program?

I have a program for a large organization that has 20 plans being tracked. Each plan represents a specific business objective this organization is executing. The organization ranked the priority of these business objectives and I would like to be able to assign that priority (1-20) to each plan and then have the Program order the plans in the view according to this priority. 

Is this possible and if so, what do I need to do to make this happen?

There are a couple of specifics about your implementation that might be tricky, however - if you can create a custom numeric field you should be able to do that.
