How can I change an assignee ?

I added five students to a project but Jira did not add them. When trying to assign user stories them, their email addresses did not appear on the list, even though several of them told me that they received emails from Jira.

I ended up assigning all the user stories to myself. How can I change the assignment from me to each of them?

Hello Fon,

Are the students registered in you Jira instance ? You can check that by going to settings => User Settings

If yes, maybe you just don't have the "Assign user permission", which you can check by going to your project settings => permission scheme.

Otherwise you can still check that you have the permission to browse users, from the Jira Settings => Global permissions
