How Issues that were in status closed before closing the sprint can move to the next sprint?

Hi,

I found 143 issues in the current active sprint that with status "Close". This status moved to status closed before I closed the previous sprint so how it possible that they moved to the current active sprint?

I filtered according to the next query: "Sprint=25 and  status = Closed AND status changed to Closed BEFORE startOfWeek() ".

Is the status closed mapped to the "right most" column of your Scrum board. Because JIRA boards consider an issue as done only when the issue is in the right-most column of the board. Because if they are not in the right-most column then when you close the sprint then those issues will move to next sprint.
