I cannot seem to find a components tab in any project settings.
Hello @Andres Aranda
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? That information will show at the bottom of the navigation panel on the left when you are viewing the project.
For a Team Managed project Components are not available. You would need to create your own custom field in the Team Managed project for that. You can vote on the change request here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17601
Hello,
Thank you for answering so fast. If I were to create a custom field for that, would it be possible to place it as one of the three extra fields shown in the Card Layout of my Boards? If not, is there any other field that is available for use in the Card Layout that I could adapt for a use similar to a component. It's use would be to basically specify the part of a project that issue belongs to.
Thank you in advance

No, you cannot modify the card layout for cards in Team Managed projects. There is a change request to which you can add your vote for that here:

Do you want to add only one value or multiple values to each issue for Component?
Do you already use Epics in this project?
If you want to add multiple values, the Labels field allow addition of multiple values and is displayed on the cards. However, anybody can add a new value for the Labels field.
If you only want a single value, and you don't use Epics, then you could create Epics for each component and then make the issues children of the Epics. The Summary from the Epic will display on the cards automatically. An issue can be a child of only one Epic at a time, though.
