JIRA changes file names

Correct file name:

MANSLS-6439

File: OA_REVIEW_CHECKLIST_MANSLS-6439

The file was transferred from the PC’s hard disk to JIRA.

Incorrect file name:

This file name was transferred, OA_REVIEW_CHECKLIST_MANSLS-6414

The file was transferred from the PC’s hard disk to JIRA.

In JIRA it is now renamed as:

OA_REV~1.PDF

The same happened to these files in MANSLS-

6693

6819

6914

6931 this file name changes to OA413A~1.PDF

6932 this file name changes to OA9858~1.PDF

6930 this file name changes to OAFBF5~1.PDF

6933 this file name changes to OA4324~1.PDF

6940 this file name changes to OSAE05~1.PDF

6949 this file name changes to OA6E82~1.PDF

6950 this file name changes to OA156D~1.PDF

Hello.

So this post will not be too helpful is assume, but i'll drop some old-ish "knowledge" of mine here:

I believe (add a mountain of salt though) that windows uses this notation if it has issues with the filename and had to write the file. Too long filename, unsupported chars in it, and such.

So in essence: I believe the fault here is the windows under the jira instance, not jira itself.
