Field with actual value does not match regular expression

I am having issues when closing bugs  (marking as 'Done') in Jira. On the bug screen, I have a custom field (list of values to specify the environment in which bug was reported such as Development, Test, Stage etc.).

When trying to close a bug, the workflow throws an error that reads:

"Field <my custom field name> with actual value does not match regular expression."

Any suggestion to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Waqas Aleem  - Do you have a Validator on the transition to Done in your workflow?

Yes. I actually had a validator causing the issue. Removing validation solved the issue. I will check my validation rules now.
