Export / Import Data to Update Epic Ranking Field

Hello -

We have added Epic ranking as a custom field for Epics. We want to export the current rankings to excel. Then update and import back in to update the Epics. 

I've not been able to make this work, any suggestions?

What type of field is that custom field?

Jira doesn't have a native "import from Excel" option, so how exactly are you executing the import?

What information are you getting from the import process?
