Hi,

When any inactive user in JIRA  tries  to  reset password through /secure/ForgotLoginDetails.jspa  page , system is sending password reset mail to the respective email id .

Is there any way to throw an error message when an inactive  user tries to Reset password ?

Thanks

Heya Lipun! Currently, there isn't any out-of-the-box way to make an Jira show an error message when an inactive user tries to reset their password. I have to note though that even after the user has reset their password, they still are unable to login as their account is still inactive.

We do have a bug ticket regarding inactive users resetting their passwords : JRASERVER-42993.

Do visit the bug page and click the *Watch* link near the top right to be kept informed of progress on the bug going forward. Also, feel free to leave a comment on the bug ticket to better share your use case and experience!
