Display subtasks on Jira Board

Hello,

We want to use Subtasks to organise our stories on the Jira Board. 
However, it is confusing if they are not really visible on the board.
Also, "Group by Subtask" option does not really work for us, since the majority of the stories(the ones without subtasks) will just be moved at the end of the screen(after the stories with subtasks are listed).

Could you please advise how we can differently configure the project/board so that we can see the subtasks in the Jira Board?

Unfortunatelly Team-managed projects (the one you uses right now) does not provide possibility to display both tasks and subtasks other than "group by subtask" option, which does not work for you. There is an ongoing feature request, but its currently in gathering interest status.

I can suggest you to migrate your project from Team-managed to Company-managed as described here.
