Date for Subtask Feature Implementation

tom January 8, 2019

Please provide projected release date for Subtasks to be implemented.

Other threads indicate that this feature was planned to be out before the new year, and that development on this has been ongoing for 2 months.

Updates on reasons for delay and/or links to the development approach for this "next gen" jira would be appreciated, as even the original 2 months estimate is troubling for such a light feature -- assuming that "next-gen" indicates a rebuilt smarter / more modular architecture.

This transparency is needed to determine whether to migrate back to classic JIRA until next-gen is a useable product (as it is currently not for any mildly complex project).

Hello Tom,

Thank you for your feedback.

The sub-task issue type is the the next feature to be implemented on Next-gen project, however, our developers have not informed a fixed date to implement it, as you can see in the Next-gen roadmap documentation.

You can track their progress on the implementation in the suggestion below:

No option to add a issue type "sub-task" for next-gen projects

Also, feel free to ask a target date directly in the suggestion for our development team and also vote to increase its priority.
