Creating a simple report from a JIRA project to display date created, created by who, date resolved

Taryn Townsend August 17, 2022

Good day, I am needing to create a simple report for management to show the following information on a project:

Issue/Task

Date created

Created by who

Date resolved

What would be the best report/gadget/add-on to use in this instance?

Hi @Taryn Townsend ,

There are 2 ways to show your information. Note that your information is stored in the following fields:

  • Issue/task: type, key, summary
  • Date created: created
  • Created by who: Reporter
  • Date resolved: resolved

The 1st way is using Advance issue search. Select/create your filter, then you can change the columns you want to show in your result.

The 2nd way is using Filter result gadget.

Hope this helps!

Hi @Taryn Townsend

You have few options to do that:

1. Create a filter and make a filter subscription for managers

2. Create a filter and use it with Filter results gadget on dashboard.

Hi @Taryn Townsend

You could either use the advanced search and select all these columns to appear and then save it as a filter. You can then setup a subscription to this filter so as to be send out to you and to whoever else you want, given that he/she has visibility of all these issues.

Another solution would be to create a dashboard alongside with the above a filter and use a gadget to present these results to it. Then you can share the dashboard with these who are interested in these results.

In both cases you need to share filter and dashboard to the people/groups/project roles to who you want to share them with.

Hope the above help!
