Thomas February 24, 2024

Hi,

Is it possible to create an automation to automatically create a "change request" on a release version?

Hi @Thomas yes you could create an issue on new fixVersion creation.

I don't want an issue. I want to create a "change request". Or is it possible to create a "change request" from within the issue? See attached screenshot.

Yes @Thomas under the hood it's still just an issue :) sorry for any confusion.  Here's a page on automations.  Which product are you using?  Is this Jira Software or Jira Work Management?

I'm using "Jira Software". I don't see how to add an "issue" as a "change request". What do I need to select as the type, and how can I link it to the specific release?

As you can see here, this is different from an issue.
