JIRA Configuration:
- Standard issue types and 1 custom Change Request Issue Type
Requirement: Using Automation for JIRA, I'm trying to automatically create a Change Request issue if the due date of an Epic is updated to more than +30 days of its current value. This is to provide a Change log for our Epics.
Has anyone used A4J's smart values features to compare the new due date value against the original value? I understand the {{fieldChange)) and {{changeLog}} smart values can do this but I'm struggling to implement it correct.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: we are not able to create a new date custom field to capture the original date value due to administrative constraints.
