Hello!
New JIRA admin here. We had a software engineering workflow that we needed to add a zendesk integration in as a post function. So as to not mess with other projects. We copied the workflow scheme and workflow and added the integration, so that everything else should be the same. Unfortunately, After we made the change, we couldn't submit a ticket using that issue type. I checked every screen and screen scheme and everything was the same as before. When I switched back to the original workflow for the issue type. We were able to submit the ticket. The issue creation view did seem different, but I did not put in any different information.
Is there something that I am issing?
Hello @Chad Brooker
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Is this for a Software project, vs. a Service Management or Work Management project?
Can you show us the before and after state of the workflow transition(s) that you updated?
When you say you can't submit the ticket do you mean you can fill in the Create Issue dialog but when you click the Create button it does not create the new issue? Do you get an error message?
Hi Trudy!
Thanks for your help.
This is a software project. Here is where we put the post functions.
Here is an example of the before and after.
We added #5.
When we try to create an issue. This is what we get:
Is this possibly a permissions issue?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Is the workflow associated to just the one issue type in the workflow scheme?
Can you show us the Validators and post functions for the Create transition?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Correct. This is just associated to one issue type.
Where would I find the validators/post functions for the create transition?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
The Create transition is the arrow from the gray circle to the Backlog status in the workflow.

@Trudy Claspill Thank you so much. We figured out that in the post functions, "create ticket originially was not #1 which was keeping it from moving forward. From a newbie, thank you!
