I have projects in JIRA Software and detected, that somewhere in the past I must have, by mistake changed the Status "In Progress" to "HM/MN" Now I try to change it back, but can't find any option where to do it.
Don't bother about the workflow in the attachment as this is just a test project, but represents the wrong "In Progress"
Can anyone give me a hint where to search to change this ? The workflows are just shown as read-only (but I'm SYSADM).
Thanks
Hi Christoph,
You should be able to go to Settings > Issues > Statuses and find the HM/MN status there and change the name.
Thanks a lot John. Somehow I could not find that page anymore. However, it showed that I seem to have another Issue now, as the "In Progress" exists as well and I can't replace the HM/MH with it.
But I will invest now some time in Workflow learning and most likely re-create the projects that have the wrong status in them.

There was probably another status that got created called In Progress. So in your workflow, you should be able to change out the HM/MH one and add the a new status and select In Progress.
Just disconnect all of the transitions from the HM/MH status - you won't be able to delete it in an active workflow, but you can make it so that no issues can move to it.
