Best Practices for Keeping Issues Reporters in the loop on Changes to Issue Status

Hi there, this seems like an obvious function, whenever a user submits an issue, they should be able to track its status through to completion and be emailed upon status change.  Any chance someone could suggest the best way to do this, please?  Thank you, Olga

Use the Notification Scheme and Workflows. In the workflow transitions make sure they are firing a Generic Event or a Custom Event. The in the Notification Scheme set Reporter as a person to be notified on the type of event being fired in the workflow transitions.
