Hey guys, I'm trying to set up an automation related with the Start date to change when transition to a status to {{now}} so it reflects to the timeline. The due date automation is working fine, but the Start date doesnt it gives me this error

Action details:

Edit issue
Found multiple fields with the same name and type: .
Start date (com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.customfieldtypes:datepicker)
Excluded your configured field from this action as it couldn't be found. It may have been deleted, or may need to be added to the project:
Start Date
No fields or field values to edit for issues (could be due to some field values not existing in a given project):
FPDNA-221

do you know how to solve?

Hi @Amaya_ Mario -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

For a question like this, please post an image of your complete automation rule, images of any relevant actions / conditions / branches, an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution, and explain what is not working as expected.  Those will provide context for the community to offer ideas.  Thanks!

Until we see those...

What is your type of project: company-managed or team-managed?  You may find that at the bottom-left of the screen expanding area.

That error message seems to indicate you have multiple fields with that name, Start date.  Has one of your admins created additional fields with the same name?

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Jesus Octavio Gutierrez Villegas

Did you post your question / response in the correct place as what you describe seems unrelated to this thread?

Please consider creating a new question to ensure the maximum number of community members see it and offer suggestions.  Thanks!

Kind regards,
Bill

Thanks for clarifying that you are getting the same error message (i.e., an apparent duplicate field in the project scope) and not that you were also trying to set date fields based on an issue transition.

Your new question will help to clarify that better if you include the audit log details showing the error message.  Thanks!
