Automation error assigning tickets

chris bohnert August 16, 2022

I have created an automation to automatically assign an issue when it is created, using a smart value as follows:

However, when testing, I'm getting the following error:

The user I'm testing with does exist and has all the appropriate permissions. Any idea how I can correct this error?

I think that field expects a user object, not a display name.  It might also be .value on the end (I'm not 100% sure how user smart variables work)

Yep, I think so. You can probably just drop the .displayName part.  But you also need to put issue. in front. So:

{{issue.Digital Merchant}}
