Automation: Send Slack Message does not recognize smart values.

Robby Ho February 4, 2022

In the workflow below, I can receive plain  text messages in slack, but when I attempt to use a smart variable (which the documentation indicates is supported), The field is empty in the message.   Perhaps I need to ensure the issue creation succeeds before sending the slack message?   Thanks for any help!

@Robby Ho

Try including the branch for recently created issue, you'll find the option in branching

Include fetch issue data from sending the slack message

Let me know if it doesn't fix the issue

Thanks

I have the exact same issue. not sure which "branch" you are referring to. Im getting the built-in smart values - but none of the custom ones are returning any data.
