I have an automation to create a task. It generates it into the backlog but I would like this to be moved to the Kanban board in a "To Do" column.
I've not been able to find the function through Jira to be able to do this or I've not found/understood what the right function would be.
Hi @Rej,
I am guessing your project is team managed? If so, this is currently not possible, since the backlog of a team managed board is not mapped to a workflow status. There is a feature request for this that you can track here: AUTO-605. It does mention a workaround using sprints, but that would assume a different way of working alltogether.
Should your project be company managed, all you need to do is use the transition issue action to change the issue statuses from Backlog to To Do.
Hope this helps!
Hi @Walter Buggenhout _ACA IT_
Yes, this helped thanks. I was looking at the Transition Issue action but could not figure it out. As you have confirmed this is not possible as this is a team managed board. Also I've ready the work around and might give it a go.
Thanks for the help!!!
