All email notifications stopped a few days ago. Jira Software users are able to get notifications while logged into Jira, but they don't receive the notifications as an email.
Is there something blocking Jira emails to our mail server?
Thanks!
Tom
Hi Tom,
I was not able to find any clear indication of a bounced response from an SMTP server. When I queried your email address, I found a response of
2023-04-10T23:06:23.000Z | 417900df-d52b-4ad8-9851-14a7926602d3 | delivery | 250 2.6.0 <010101876d6b9af8-2c843e77-f27e-4500-a825-3e14d760010d-000000@us-west-2.amazonses.com> [InternalId=81733227646139, Hostname=SA1PR17MB4852.namprd17.prod.outlook.com] 46769 bytes in 0.191, 238.694 KB/sec Queued mail for delivery |
This response though indicates the message was delivered successfully, at least as far as our mail system can determine.
If you are not seeing this message in your inbox, then I'd recommend reaching out to your mail administrator or your mail provider. Perhaps with this timestamp and Atlassian Mail ID number the message could be located by them within your mail system.
Hi @Tom Horton
Is this happening only for handful users or all in your site ? Sometimes due to bounce message, email IDs are added to suppression list, which needs to be cleared manually. I have tagged this ticket to Atlassian Community Support team, they will be able to help you.

Hey Tom,
I'm assuming you're talking about Jira Cloud not Data Center?
You can use the Jira notification helper to manually send notifications to test if things are working: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/use-the-jira-admin-helper/
Also verify that outgoing email is enabled it's under Settings -> System -> Mail -> Outgoing Mail.
