Adding watchers to the task

Hello, I am assigned to two projects within JIRA. For one, I can add watchers to the task, for the other one, it is not possible. Can you please advise what I should change in my settings?

these projects probably have different permissions settings.

Go the "Project settings" -> "Permissions" and check the "Voters & Watchers" section. Probably you have to modify a bit these permission for the project where you are not able to watch issues.
