Adding a field to a screen

Hi

 

Im trying to add Team field to a screen. The field is not available in Configure fields when you try to create a Story. 

So in the Admin Console I added the field to the default screen for Stories, but the field still doesn't show when I create a Story.

Can anyone help?

Hi @Steve 

Make sure it's present in issue layouts under context fields or hide when empty section

Otherwise this should show on the create screen

Ive gone through all steps and I believe under the free jira version there are limitations what you can do because everything is setup correct, but under project settings --> issue type, the field is not available to add into the context fields.

From the right side you have sections Fields, Create a field and Previously Created field. The field I want is not available here and actually nothing is showing under the Fields section and there are only a few under Previously Created field section

Also following 

Now in project settings --> screen --> check what screen is added to the "Story"' Create Ticket operation. Add field if doesnot added there

 

My field doesnt show here.

Can I ask, if Im using the free version of Jira would I still be able to add fields to screens, because Im using the free version to test and check what I can do to make sure Jira is able to do what I will need?

Do this: 

  1. project settings --> fields --> check what field configuration is added to the project. Add the required field in Field configuration if doesnot exists. (Admin --> Issues --> Field configuration)

Thanks both for your input, the problem is the field doesnt show on the issue layout screen

And I cant seem to be able to add it

Please check below settings
