Adding Branching to a Request Form

Hi All,

Hopefully someone can help me with this?

I am trying to add a branch rule to a Travel Request Form, so that if some select Domestic Travel, then all international travel questions in the form automatically hide.

I cannot seem to figure out where or how to enable this.

Is a branch rule a custom field that needs  to be created?

Help please!

Thanks

Hi @Cheryl_Francis,

If you are using Jira Software, there is no way to conditionally show or hide certain sections of a screen out of the box.

Jira Service Management does offer that capability through forms. Based off your description, that seems to be a very good match to what you need for your use case.

This example is a short sample of such a form in design view:

They come with sections that can be displayed conditionally, based on  selections you make in previous fields. I set this one up in such a way that the section will only display when the option domestic is selected.

In practice, the form then renders like this:

And when I select domestic, the hidden fields appear:

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much, this has helped me with what I need to do :-) appreciate your help & support.
