Hi,

Sorry to hear about this problem.  I am not very familiar with this Microsoft Teams for Jira Cloud.  This appears to be an add-on / app for Jira Cloud.  Could you clarify which app this is?  Does this app have a Marketplace listing such as https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1217836/microsoft-teams-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

I just want to clarify which app this is, as you might need to contact the app vendor to clearly understand the setup and configuration of that app within Jira Cloud.

I suspect that this kind of Access denied error could be due to the fact that users that only exist in the Jira Service Desk Customer role are considered unlicensed users in Jira. In turn those users do not have the ability to see the main Jira site.  Instead they can only login to the customer portal provided by Service Desk. More details on the different roles in Jira Service Desk in Jira Service Desk: Agents, Customers, and Roles. In which case, a site-admin would need to grant that user product access to some Jira product such as Jira Core or Jira Software as a licensed user (note there is potentially a licensing cost to add users to the site).  Steps to do that are in Update product access settings.

But of course, I would want to check with the app vendor to better understand the requirements of users for that app.  Unfortunately that Marketplace listing link I referenced above does not appear to have any documentation on how to use that particular app, nor does it explain what the requirements or expectations would be for user accounts.

If that is the app that you have in your Jira Cloud site, you might also want to open a support request with them directly to address this problem and clarify the requirements of user accounts.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

Additionally, it would be beneficial to provide a bit more details on how to reproduce this issue.

Thanks,
