Reporting is an important part of the development lifecycle in the domain of quality management. The suggested test automation system's performance and longevity are also defined by how well the reporting system is implemented. Customizable reports creation functionality generates text-based or graphical reports both. Reports generated using the customizable reports creation functionality can be used to track test case coverage of test requirements, identify trends in test execution results, and display issues associated with a specific test plan. Embedded customizable reports creation capabilities with a test management solution meet the most common report requirements for quality management.
Test Execution Reports with QARAJ Addon
QARAJ is a QARA Enterprise add-on that connects QARA Enterprise with Jira for improved test management. We'll look at capabilities of QARAJ add-on with respect to customizable reports creation in this section.
The Reports module offers detailed customizable reports creation to help you analyze various aspects of the test case execution. The reports available on QARAJ are as follows:
1] Project Summary Report
This is one of the key reports generated by the customizable reports creation functionality. By default, the Project Summary Report displays statistics and data from 5 projects in both graphical and tabular formats. The projects can be customized, and the report can be exported in PDF format with just one click.
2] Test Summary Report
The Test Summary Report is divided into two sections: Velocity (both graphically and numerically) and Test Statistics Per Day. The reports default to showing data for seven days, but they may be altered with a simple click. The Test Summary reports can be emailed or exported to MS Excel or PDF format.
3] Velocity Report
The Velocity Report is divided into three sections: Test Statistics, Velocity (both graphically and numerically), and Test Statistics Per Day. Filters are available to filter the data as needed. Velocity Reports are used to track all of the test cases that have been run by Test Cycles and can be saved to MS Excel or PDF format, as well as sent via email.
4] Release Report
Only the most recent execution status of test cases ran from test cycles is shown in the Release Report. Test Statistics, Test Case Execution (in Graphical and Tabular Form), and Test Statistics Per Day are the three sections of the Release Report. The data can be filtered as needed via filters, and it can be saved to MS Excel or PDF format or distributed by email.
5] Traceability Report
The Traceability Report is used to keep track of the hierarchy of related issue types from Jira controls.
6] Defect Metrics Report
The current Defects are displayed in pie chart, graphical, and tabular style in the Defect Metrics Report. The Date filter lets you change the date.
7] Execution Reports
All test executions, which includes individual testcase executions and Test Cycle level executions, are displayed in the Execution Report. Individual reports are organised into folders. There are two sections in the Execution Report: Test Case Statistics and Execution Summary (in tabular as well as graphical formats). The data can be filtered as needed via filters, and it can be saved to MS Excel or PDF format or distributed by email.
