Unable to add external email address under project settings-->channels and self service--->email

I am unable to add external email address i.e email address associated with my company under project settings.

xyz@companyname.com needs to be added under 

 

project settings-->channels and self service--->email

It says error as attached. I tried all protocols but same error.Screenshot 2024-12-02 120759.png
