Seperate Portals for Seperate Service Projects

Charlie Jackson January 2, 2024

Hi There,

I was wondering if there was a way to have seperate portals with seperate URLs and branding etc per service project? Or is this only an option by setting up a new account per customer?

So, say I wanted to have completely different portals, not just different tiles within that same help center with completely different branding, portal groups, slas etc, would that be possible?

Also worth noting that i'm currently on the free tier so that is potentially what's stopping me atm?

Many Thanks,
Charlie

Hi @Charlie Jackson , no this is not possible. You have a single URL for the help center and then sub-URLs for each project. Can you explain why this falls short of your requirements? The one thing that definitely falls short for most folks is the unique branding. There are options  e.g. what is provided by Refined, but that had its own shortcomings when I tested awhile back.

Yeah it's mainly the branding to be honest so that we can have each customer with their own branding in their portal if that makes sense?

I guess we would have to have my branding on the portal and then each customer on the sub urls as you mentioned

@Charlie Jackson -

Welcome to the community.  I agreed with what @Jack Brickey stated and to supplement his response,  you can locked down the visibility of your specific project to users within the the same portal.

For the project in question - Go to Project settings >> Customer permissions and change the channel access to "Restricted".

By doing so, project admins/agents can control who can access the project or not.  Essentially, if an user is not authorized, then he/she will not even see the project via the portal.

Hope this also helps.

Hi Joseph,

That's great thank you, it won't quite achieve what i'm looking for but will probably just have to approach this is a different way.

Thanks for your help!
