ScriptRunner Fast-track transition depend of actual state

Kevin PAGES March 19, 2024

Hello,

I in my workflow i have a transition avaible for all state, when this transition is used, i need to change the issue state to "OPEN".

I have create a Fast-Track transition with scriptrunner for change the state to open, this is working for all state except when the issue is already in "OPEN" i have an error.

I want to create a condition for check the actual state of the ticket but I don't know how.

Could you help me please ! If you have another idea for doing it I'm also interested but i don't want to do this by an automation.

Thanks !

Hey @Kevin PAGES ,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Based on what you mentioned:

I have create a Fast-Track transition with scriptrunner for change the state to open, this is working for all state except when the issue is already in "OPEN" i have an error.

I want to create a condition for check the actual state of the ticket but I don't know how.

I am assuming you are trying to automatically change the "State" (status of the issue) after a period of time. This looks like something which can be done using ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud's Escalation Service: Transition an Issue

You can schedule it to run at a specific schedule (eg: Daily at 12am) for issues found by JQL like:

If you are still unsure, please reach out to us at customersuccess@scriptrunnerhq.com and lets have a call together for a demo/Q&A/etc , or create a Support Ticket with us.

Hope this helps.
Sean

It is good to know that you have resolved it. I'm sure there are a few ways which can be used to meet your needs - as long as you are happy with it and it works for your use-case, that is what matters.

Do you mind sharing abit about what you've done? This would help others if they have the same requirements in the future.
