Hi there.

We have a problem wherein older tickets might get re-opened, which were worked on by staff who has since left.

Their accounts get deactivated during off-boarding, but technically still exists in Jira.

Does anyone know of a way to make sure that tickets re-opened, gets "Unassigned" when re-opened, if the user doesn't exist?

Thanks

Hi @Silas Wulff ,

You can check if the assignee is active using the Advanced compare method

issue.assignee.active = false

Then unassign the issue.

Thanks Ismail, I managed to create an automation for this when issue transition to reopened.

Appreciate your help.
