Hi Team,
We have a JSM projects for doing approvals and we don't want to show that on boards.
This becomes like a flaw in changing approvals.
We wanted to show the transitions only by doing approvals. But by workflow it shows like this
So is there any ways for stopping users to move the transitions without doing approvals or restrict transition from moving it. But can show the status.
And once it comes to Approved stage, User can move it "Ready for team" as per the above workflow.
Hi Santhosh,
I am having some trouble following exactly what you need. Can you provide exact detailed steps and what you want to happen when?
I have a Project in JSM.
So as per the above workflow, it takes 4 approvals right.
So once the four approvals are approved, it will move to the next stage and decline means rejected.
But when an user/agent can open the board/Queue they can see the reject option directly. We want only the approvers to move it process, If anyone can move the process, then its not a bad practice for making a workflow.
So what are the ways we can restrict them ?
What we did right now is
By this way restricted other users to do it and it gave us another problem.
We tried to export the data from csv to Jira Issues.
It was exported. But it showed some issues.
Even if the issue gets exported, It is not able to transition to other stages.
Showing error in Issue view "You dont have permission to transition the workflow"
We tried matching the workflow, but its still not matching.
This is what happening to this workflow and same problem below on this ticket.
Bulk export change and request type issue
But If I found the solution it would be useful to get it out.
So is there any solution for this @John Funk
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I would just add a condition for users in the Approvers field or whatever field you are using to have the Approvers listed.

Hello @Santhosh Raj ,
In your workflow you have the possibility to add conditions.
Restrict to a group, and done.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Hi Santhosh,
If you would like to restrict the users ability to "Reject" the ticket instead of going through the approval system you will need to remove the "All" option on the Rejected status.

What if the workflow is like this ?
I updated "Previous Status Condition" to the All Stages.
So for this how can we restrict @mruttan @John Funk @Léo Dumortier

Is it possible to hide the other transitions which has all other stages and show the statuses once approvals are completed @mruttan @John Funk

Hi Santhosh,
If your workflow is set up as shown above you will not be able to hide the other statuses. Each status in your workflow is available from all other statuses. You will need to define transitions and remove the 'Allow all to transition" option from each status.
