Manual trigger of 'old' SD automations

Deleted user June 16, 2020

Hi,

Looking at the documentation regarding manual triggering of automation rules in a service desk project, it seems the docs are in regard to the 'new' automation tools (former plugin).

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-desk-cloud/docs/manually-run-a-rule-against-an-issue/

I'd like to know if and where it's (even) possible to trigger the 'oldstyle' automation rules manually. We're on Cloud.

For rules created with the new automation tools, this description works fine:

To manually run a rule:

  1. On the issue view, navigate to the Automation tools and click Rule executions.

  2. Select a rule from the Run a manually triggered rule list, and click Run.

You can also see a history of rules that have run against the issue in this area.

I've been looking all over if it's possible to trigger the old rules manually. If it's not possible, we'll rewrite the rules in the new tools. Any help or feedback is appreciated.

Hi There,

It only works with the new automations. The legacy automations won't work.
