Knowledge base articles are not visible when referenced in Jira

Craig Duffy March 27, 2024

When I add an article from our Knowledge base to a Jira issue comment, the link successfully appears. However, when I try to click on the link in the comment, the preview does not work.

It seems like everything is linked correctly, and the permissions to the knowledge base appear to be set correctly, so not sure what is going on

Hi Craig, when you say it's added to a Jira issue, is that adding it to a ticket in your JSM Project or another Jira project?  If you paste the link in your browser window, is it loading the article in your Portal?  There are two different types of links, one that would go through the portal, and then one that would go through the Confluence site.  Could you let use know how your using the links?  If you're sharing the Knowledge Base Article as a KB article added to the Comment of a JSM ticket, is it working that way?

Hope that helps.
