Jira Automation Branching for Adding Comments

Hi

I am creating an Automation Rule to Check all the Tickets which are in Waiting for Customer Status & Customer has not replied / responded on them. Then the rule should Add comments on those Tickets asking the customer to Update

I have created the following Automation Rule as shown in the attached Snap. But Automation shows Error of Incompatible Components.

Second, I can't find the following in Branch Rule / Related Issues - Add a “For each” branch to iterate over the issues found by the Lookup issues“ action or as shown in second Snap i.e., For All Created Issues

Thanks

Hi @Shahzad Iqbal ,

If you just want to add a Comment on each of the Looked up issues, then drop the For: Current issue branching since it is not needed.

Kindly update your rule by dropping the For Current Issue branching option and let me know how it goes.

Regards,
David

Hi @Shahzad Iqbal and @David Freitez , I wonder if you need to iterate through the lookup results (i.e., issues) after you get the Lookup results and add the comment to each one instead of putting "add comment to issue" after finding all the matching issues? Just a thought...
