I want to edit the format on the email notifications the agents get for new ticket creation.

I want to edit the format on the notifications the agent gets to show the body of the emails in the ticket description without the format getting all jumbled up. Currently the way our notification scheme is set up this is what shows up in the email for an agent letting them know a ticket was created. I need to be able to separate the body of the email from the signature. Any suggestions?

welcome to the community and thank you for your question.
From what I can tell, there is no option to customise these email templates by default.
And actually I think the real problem is the content of the description field. 

This is a pretty common problem in Jira. As far as I know there is no fix or feature for this in progress. But there are workarounds to tackle this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-15129?focusedId=3429016&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels%3Acomment-tabpanel#comment-3429016

If you still want to keep the content in the Description field but rather want to modify the email, you could disable the notification in the notification scheme and rather sent an extra one via Automation.
