Hi,

I want to add Default value in the Description field which whenever i create Incident it will show the Default value in the Description field.

Kindly help me out with is there any possible way to do the same.

By default, Description field doesn't accept a default value.

This is possible in one of two ways:

1> Create a custom field of type "paragraph" and define the default value for it. Make the whole configuration of assigning the field on the issuetype "Incident" screen and then you can by automation copy the value to the original "Description" field.

This is a workaround

2 > Use the "ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud" app and install its "Behaviour" component. With Behavior you can manipulate field values using Javascript. The "Behaviour" component is still in BETA on Jira Cloud, but it is possible to have it associated with the environment by filling out the Adaptavist form.
