After creating and issue, we need to fill in the details there is an option called "category"

When I click I receive the message No matches found. But I cannot find anywhere this option in order to fill the selections.

Could you help me?

Hi Kate,

thanks for fast answer.

No it is not custom, it was there when I created the project.

there is a pic attached. I have this option when creating the issue.

What I need exactly is to create an issue and then to choose something from a list ( labels do not help me)Screenshot_1.png

Category in Jira Service Management are described here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management-articles/Work-categories-are-available-in-Jira-Service-Management/ba-p/1995559 They're strongly connected with other features. As I see, this field is locked and you can't edit it or add your options. Please read the article above and consider if it's what you need.

Maybe in your use case is better to create a single select custom field with options which you defined in the configuration. It allows you to categorize tickets and create appropriate queues.

of note, "work category" is different from "category" jiracategories.png
