How do I set the request type on a bulk import? I'd like to set this value on import so that these tickets have external client visibility access in the online portal, but I can't do it when that value is null. When I type in request type in the jira field I get the value is invalid.

Check out this article that outlines how you can import the request type during bulk import. Basically what you need to do is find the portal key and the request type key and map that to the request type field and also set the issue type. I have used this to bulk import request types and once you have all the data it is easy to do.
