When creating ticket, it's enough for us to select a request type for Type.
We don't choose a issue type.
Can we make issue types invisible from the Type dropdown to keep it simple?
I don't think that you can remove them, because they are part of your JSM project. Every request type is associated to an issue type. You can remove all unwanted issue types which are part of the project, but are not used in requests types.
