Last week, I observed that our project was approaching the automation quota limit. In the attached screenshot of the automation, I have a question: How many execution quotas will be counted?
On the left, there are 4 actions, so I initially assume that if the automation action is performed, at least 4 execution quotas will be counted. However, I noticed inside the red box that my colleagues have added 3 fields for issue field edition. So, how many execution quotas are really counted by this scenario? 4 or 7 ?
The quota is focus on how many time the rule is triggered and it is not based on the number of action(s) within a rule. as documented in the following reference page - https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/how-is-my-usage-calculated/
"When an automation rule runs successfully, that is, it performs at least one action, it counts as a run. Each successful rule run counts only once toward usage, even if the rule performs multiple actions."
Is your rule associated with just one specific project or it is associated with multiple projects (global)?
Here is the latest announcement on automation rule limits from Atlassian as of Nov 1st, 2023 - https://www.atlassian.com/blog/announcements/cloud-automation-packaging-update
So based on the Standard subscription plan - it is limited to 5000 total execution of your rules per month.
Hope this helps.
