Having assigned more than one custom label to issues - How do I show all labels on every issue in the issue results list for a filtered search by default without clicking on the +1 icon for every issue in the labels column?

I had this same issue! I could not find a way to show more than 1 label in any type of search. I noticed the UXUI differences in the screenshots in the original question and the reply from Jack.

I realized it was because Jack was using the "old search" and myself and Marcus were using the new.

I simply reverted back to the old search (by clicking the . . .  on the top right hand corner of the search results and bingo - now i can see more than 1 label! :) I ensured that when I switched I provided feedback back to Jira as to why switched in their feedback request.

hi @Sonntag, Marcus , where are you viewing this? if I perform a query I see all labels. Are you using the Labels field?

Hi @Jack Brickey ,
thanks for your reply. I am i the Filter menu using either the standard-filter "stichwort", which equals "label" I suppose, or the JQL-filter as shown in the screenshot below.

Hi @Sonntag, Marcus ,

so I think that you are viewing the filter results under the project Issues screen whereas I was using the View all issues (formerly known as "advanced search"). That is why you see the "+1". That view cannot be changed but you can save your filter and view within the view all issues screen.

let me know if this makes sense or if you need further help.

Hi @Sonntag, Marcus

welcome to the community!

I don't know if this problem, in itself, justifies additional tooling for you, but just to put it out there: If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.

Plus, you can resize any table column to perfectly fit your data, like so:

As every JXL sheet is powered either by a saved filter or a JQL statement, you can easily include any issues that you're interested in.

Any questions just let me know,

Best,

Hannes
