How do I create a slack notification inside of a triage channel for issues created via email?

Currently, only slack notifications get sent out when the issue is created via slack. I'm trying to get the same notifications in slack when creating issues/service requests via email. Anybody have thoughts on where to start to get this done?

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

In order to receive notifications about Email requests, it's necessary to select the Request type used in the Email channel in the Chat settings.

To see the Request type used in the Email channel:

  • From your service project, select Project settings > Channels & self service > Email

In order to select the Request type under Chat settings:

  1. From your service project, select Project settings > Channels & self service > Chat
  2. From the Slack tab, find the Agent channel and select Configure options to open the settings
  3. Select the Request type used under Email channels under Connect request types
  4. Select Save changes
