Hi All,
My organization recently started using Jira for customer tickets however, we want few domains from receiving any auto-triggered email notifications when any ticket is created with them as the reporter or request participants. They should only receive the emails whenever comments are added on that ticket.
Is this possible? How?
To disable auto-triggers for a specific email domain in a system, you typically need access to the settings or configuration options of the system that manages the triggers. Here's a general approach you can take:
1. **Access Settings**: Log in to the system where the auto-triggers are configured. This might be an email marketing platform, a helpdesk system, or any other software that sends automated emails.
2. **Navigate to Auto-Trigger Settings**: Look for the section or settings related to auto-triggers, automated emails, or notifications. Depending on the system, this might be under a "Notifications," "Automation," or "Settings" menu.
3. **Identify Trigger Rules**: Review the existing trigger rules to see if there's an option to set conditions based on email domains. Some systems allow you to specify conditions for triggering emails, such as specific email addresses or domains.
4. **Edit or Add Conditions**: If the system allows it, edit the trigger rule that sends emails and add a condition to exclude emails from the specific domain you want to disable auto-triggers for. This could involve specifying the email domain in a filter or rule condition.
5. **Save Changes**: After making the necessary adjustments, save the changes to update the trigger settings. Some systems may require you to enable or disable the trigger rule after editing it.
6. **Test**: It's a good practice to test the changes by sending a test email from the excluded domain to ensure that the auto-triggers are indeed disabled as intended.
If the system you're using doesn't provide the option to set conditions based on email domains for auto-triggers, you may need to explore alternative solutions. This could involve custom scripting or integration with other tools to achieve the desired behavior. If you need more specific guidance based on the system you're using, feel free to provide additional details!
