I have a problem with one of my service provider. When we have an issue for him there is an automation rule which send an email to the service provider with some jira variables. But in answer the service provider send us an email when the issue is resolved for them. The problem is that the email they send to us there is the issue key in the mail BODY not in the SUBJECT so the issue in jira is not auto commented with this mail.
I would like to know if there is a way to detect the issue key in the mail body to auto comment the linked issue so i can create automated rules that auto change the status of our issues ?

You would need to use an app like script runner or Enterprise Mail Handler for Jira (JEMH) to parse the description and then have some sort of workflow automation kickoff the update.
