Hey everyone,
We are currently in the design phase of setting up a new Jira Service Management for our organisation, and I need some guidance on configuring access for users who work across multiple organisations using a single independent account. Here's the situation:
We have users like Alex, who has an account alex@companyA.com and works for Company A.
Alex needs to be able to request new employees for both Company A and other organisations such as Company B via our service portal (powered by Jira for the frontend).
Our goal is to set up a system where Alex and other users can request new employees for multiple organisations from a single portal, without creating separate projects for each organisation, which would be very management-intensive.
Current Setup: Users have independent accounts and need to request new employees for various organisations.
Objective: Allow users with the appropriate permissions to request new employees for multiple organisations from a single portal.
Specific Questions:
Is it possible to configure Jira Service Management to use a single portal where users can request new employees for multiple organisations with their independent accounts?
What are the best practices for setting up such a system?
Are there specific configurations, plugins, or automation rules that can help achieve this?
How can we ensure that the requests are correctly assigned to the right organisation based on the user's email domain (e.g., alex@companyA.com for Company A)?
Can we configure permissions so that some users can request employees for multiple organisations while others are restricted to just one?
Any insights or suggestions on how to approach this setup would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Timo
