Hello all,
I have an automation in place to clone a ticket from one project upon creation into another project but im unable to clone any forms from the original ticket into the cloned ticket. All research ive done states this is not possible and forms can only be carried over to the clone within the same project.
Alternatively is it possible to pull the data from the form and put it into the description of the cloned ticket?
Cloning the ticket works but not adding the form.
Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @chaz_anderson,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Forms cannot be copied between project, so at the moment your only option would be to create and attach the form as a PDF to the issue (you find this under settings for the form) and then copy the PDF over. Once the REST API is released you should be able to get data out of the form and add it to the cloned issue. Currently the API is on track to be released in Q1-Q2 2023 according to Atlassian's public roadmap.
Thank you, ill keep an eye out for the updates on the REST API.
