Hi all,
I was wondering if it was possible to change the colour of the reporter field if the user is in a specific group. The text colour is either Black for standard or White in Dark Mode but I would like to change it to red if the user is in said group but doesn't change if they are not.
Would this be possible? Any help would be grand!
Thank you!
Hi Bradly,
No, this functionality is not currently available for the changing of the color of a field. You can add a colored stripe to the card on the board, but that's about it with colors.
Would that also include changing the colour text of the reporters in the said group?

It won't change the text color either. Just puts a colored stripe on the left of the card.

as John suggested, I don't think there's a way to modify the text color of the reporter field (or any field, for that matter) in Jira's built-in views.
This being said, if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a range of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.
With conditional formatting, you can define any number of conditions on your issue fields, and if these conditions are fulfilled, set the text or background color of either the entire issue row or a specific cell.
This is how this looks in action:
Does this look like it might be useful to you?
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
